Welcome to my Cisco networking blog. I am preparing for the CCNP exams and use this blog to help prepare for the exams. As I create my notes and materials for each topic area, I post them here. The topic areas covered are above.

I've been studying Cisco for 5 years through college and self-study. I have passed both the CCENT and CCNA exams. The overall goal is to achieve a CCIE in Routing and Switching.

For additional study materials and resources I would recommend:

• The official Cisco study guides (Good in-depth coverage and comes with practice exams)
• Network Warrior (Great vendor-neutral book on a range of networking topics)
• Packet Tracer (Cisco simulator suitable for CCNA studies but limited commands for CCNP and higher. Free version available here.)
• GNS3 (Free software which lets you emulate a router OS image but more layer 3 focused. The images don't come with the software and need to be obtained yourself, whether its legitimate off a router or pirating them)
• Reddit (r/CCNA and r/CCNP can be used for asking questions on those exams)
• Chris Bryant's Cisco videos (Available on Udemy, easy to follow and well presented)
• CBT Nuggets (Full course is good and has free short videos on YouTube)
